Trainwreck in Juneau...

It has been obvious over decades, Juneau has not been able to
produce any form of an efficient and accountable budget.
It is completely ludicrous that a Democrat majority controls both the
House and Senate in Alaska even though Alaskans elected a majority
of Republicans to office with the concept in mind that republicans should be more "fiscally conservative" in nature.
This is certainly not the case as a substantial amount of so-called Republicans are hell bent on spending more money than we have. They make Democrats look like amateurs! This is precisely why Alaskans are on the cusp of losing their PFD completely.
In reality, the money which once went to all Alaskans is being redistributed to a select group of special interest groups. If you want to know the identity of these "special interest groups" just visit the campaign contribution site
( APOC ) and you can determine who really controls Alaska.
It is essential that Alaskans fully know the LEADERS when it comes to this march into financial oblivion. So, who are the engineers of this trainwreck?
Introducing the Republican Traitors....
HOUSE:
These are the registered Republicans who voted in caucus to hand House control to the Democrats.
Representative Chuck Kopp
Republican District 10 Anchorage
This is the darling of the union bosses. Chuck
got elected with the sole priority of directing
legislation to bring Defined Benefits back to
Alaska even though we are still $4 billion in
debt from the last round.
He uses the excuse that we cannot hire
police officers or firefighters because the
benefit package prevents them from seeking
meaningful employment in Alaska. Perhaps it is because Alaska's
public education industry ranks 51st in the nation and Anchorage is
overrun by homeless camps. Whatever the reason, Chuck has his eyes on the bigger pot of money called the Permanent Fund which he intends to utilize in the future to pay massive runaway deficit spending. He is quite comfortable caucusing with the Democrats as he joined their ranks during his last dance in the legislature.
Word has it that Chuck controls over $250,000 in independent expenditure groups which he intends to deploy this election cycle in order to secure more legislator candidates with allegiance to unions, not Alaskans. Here is a man on a mission to help direct the impending trainwreck.
Rest assured he will wholeheartedly embrace an Income tax, state sales tax or both. His "vision" needs funding and he intends to make all Alaskans pick up the tab to his vision.
Representative Louise Stutes
Republican District 5 Kodiak
Louise is an "Old Hand" lying in bed with the Democrats for personal power. She has been doing this for years and continues to be re-elected. Word has it that Senator Gary Stevens is retiring and he has given his blessings to Louise to step up and run for the vacant senate position.
If Stutes were to be elected to the Senate, rest assured the Senate will remain in Democrat hands and the Senate republican minority will continue to be marginalized.
SENATE:
These are the registered Republicans who voted in caucus to hand the majority over to the Democrat Party.
Senator Cathy Giessel
District E Anchorage
Cathy has become adept in double speaking within her own district. She comes off in public like she is a grounded conservative Republican when her legislative record is anything but conservative. Campaigning with Matt Claman tells you everything you need to know about Giessel's alliance's.
Her support of the Democrat majority caucus was specifically a personal power move. Her constant newsletters are an assault on the truth. She is a master at propaganda and she uses her outreach to dupe the citizens of her district into thinking she is legislating in their better interest. She has DDS which is Dunleavy Derangement Syndrome. She recently applauded republicans who voted to overturn the education veto.
All the governor wanted was some education accountability through benchmarks.
Senator Gary Stevens
District C Kodiak
Senator Stevens has announced his retirement. This is the best news coming from the Senate in years. During his tenure he has supported the monopoly of public education adamantly opposing any form of alternate education.
This senator owns the results of the education industrial complex which is dead last in achievement while maintaining one of the largest funding mechanisms in the entire country. He has always resisted any form of accountability in education. Senator Gary Stevens is the "Poster Child" of the NEA in Alaska. Good Riddance.
Alaska would be well served if Representative Sarah Vance stepped up and secured this seat in the Senate.
Senator Jesse Bjorkman
District D Nikiski
It is amazing that the conservative area of Kenai rejected Ben Carpenter's campaign to become their next senator. Jesse Bjorkman effectively painted Ben Carpenter as an advocate of Income Taxes because he sat on an advisory commission which advocated a state income tax. Rest assured as Income Tax comes to the forefront this coming session, Jesse Bjorkman will be onboard. This is a sure bet.
Senator Kelly Merrick
District L Eagle River
A perfect example of unions owning Alaska. It is unbelievable that Kelly Merrick sits in the seat once occupied by Lora Reinbold! The citizens of Eagle River need to wake up and realize this turncoat has ZERO conservative credentials.
Senator Bert Stedman
District A Sitka
All one needs to know is that Bert Stedman has sat on Senate Finance since Moses parted the Red Sea. This man has overseen the massive budget expansion leading to deficit spending. He has always been a strong voice to grab large portions of the PFD to distribute to special interest groups. One of the most massive EGOs in Juneau. He has directed state spending in Sitka to construct a road access to his personal property. It is beyond time for the citizens of his district to realize Bert is all about his personal interests, not theirs.

Republicans who voted to override Governor Dunleavy's veto on SB57.
The governor vetoed this bill because the legislature refused to include any meaningful benchmarks of accountability for education.
With their override, legislators boldly stated that accountability is not a priority even though Alaska is recognized 51st in the nation in educational excellence.
Another direct evidence that NEA Alaska owns these legislators.
Republicans voting to override the governor:
Republican Senators:
Jesse Bjorkman
Mike Cronk
Cathy Giessel
James Kaufman
Kelly Merrick
Bert Stedman
Gary Stevens
Rob Yundt
Republican Representatives:
Mia Costello
Jeremy Bynum
Julie Coulombe
Chuck Kopp
David Nelson
Justin Ruffridge
Dan Saddler
William Stapp
Louise Stutes
